About the event
"To be rooted is perhaps the most important and least recognized need of the human soul." - Simone Weil
Whether or not you feel safe in your body, in your life and in any given moment has enormous impact on your overall well being. When we don't feel safe, we exist in a state of activation in our nervous system, impacting stress levels, Â mental health, and bodily tension, discomfort or illness. Cultivating a sense of safety within ourselves and our environments is essential for nurturing our happiest, healthiest Self.
Together, we'll explore:
- Do I feel safe? What does safety feel like in my body? How does a lack of safety feel?
- Practices to cultivate our internal sense of safety and connect to our Muladhara or Root Chakra.
- Balance postures connecting us to our roots, our resilience and our Self energy.
- Guided meditation and journaling reflection to get to know yourself, and connect to your inner wisdom.
10 am: Gentle Yoga Flow: We'll start the event with a gentle yoga flow sequence to help you connect with the earth and establish a sense of stability and safety in your body. The class will dive deeper into balance postures such as Tree Pose (Vrksasana), Warrior III (Virabhadrasana III), and Eagle Pose (Garudasana).Â
11 am Guided Meditation: Experience a guided meditation tapping into the energy of spring, rooting and rising, creating a sense of safety within yourself, and witnessing all that you are, to blossom from place of alignment and strength
11:30 Women's Circle Discussion: Gather in a supportive women's circle to share your experiences, insights, and challenges related to feeling safe and stable in your body and life. Engage in meaningful conversations and connect with fellow participants on a deeper level.
12:30 Community Lunch: Option to join me for a nourishing lunch (I'll bring Kitcheri) and time to drink tea, and build connections and community.Â
All are welcome, regardless of yoga experience level. Please bring a yoga mat, any props you need, a journal, a tea mug, an open heart, and a dish to share if you plan to stay for the potluck lunch.
I look forward to sharing this transformative experience with you.
