Overview of Yoga Therapy:

Yoga therapy is an integrative and holistic approach that combines the principles and practices of yoga with therapeutic techniques to support physical, emotional, and mental well-being. It aims to promote self-awareness, balance, and healing by utilizing various tools such as asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, mindfulness, relaxation, and lifestyle modifications.

Benefits of Yoga Therapy:

Yoga therapy can offer numerous potential benefits, including:

  1. Improved physical strength, flexibility, and balance

  2. Reduced stress, anxiety, and depression

  3. Enhanced self-awareness and self-regulation

  4. Increased body-mind connection

  5. Better management of chronic pain and physical conditions

  6. Support for emotional healing and trauma recovery

  7. Promotion of overall well-being and personal growth

Risks and Limitations:

While yoga therapy is generally safe and well-tolerated, it is important to be aware of potential risks and limitations, including:

  1. Physical Discomfort: Some yoga postures or practices may cause temporary discomfort or fatigue. It is crucial to communicate any pain or discomfort experienced during the sessions to the therapist.

  2. Emotional Release: As yoga therapy can facilitate the release of stored emotions, it is possible to experience temporary emotional responses during or after the sessions. This process is typically supportive of healing and growth, but it is important to communicate any concerns or intense emotional experiences with the therapist.

  3. Physical Limitations: If you have any pre-existing physical conditions or injuries, it is essential to inform the therapist to ensure appropriate modifications and adaptations to the practices.

  4. Personal Responsibility: It is important to understand that your active participation and commitment to the practice, both during sessions and in implementing recommended self-care practices, are crucial for achieving desired outcomes.

Cancellation Policy for Yoga Therapy Sessions:

I understand that life happens. Please try to cancel/reschedule with 24 hours notice. If impossible, please email jessabuchalteryogatherapy@gmail.com, or text me at 970-376-2657, to let me know you’ll be unable to make our session. No explanation is needed, and we can reschedule for a time that works better for you. Unfortunately, if late cancellations occur 3 times (considered an unreasonable amount) this will incur a late cancel fee of $50 per canceled appointment.

If you arrive late, the session will be offered, but will still end at the originally scheduled time. Late arrivals of more than 20 minutes will be honored if there is written or verbal communication from the client, but will also end at the originally scheduled time.

Extra time can be added to the end of a session, with the agreement of both parties, for an additional cost of $1 per minute.
